How it is made

From sidestream to scoop.

  1. 01

    SOURCED

Cod bones and frames from the Nordic fishing industry, material that would otherwise be discarded or sold cheap.

  2. 02

    REFINED

The bone matrix is gently dissolved and enzymes cut the collagen into small peptides, then filtration isolates the target size.

  3. 03

    STIRRED

One scoop, 10 g a day, in water, coffee or a smoothie. Designed to dissolve in cold water.

Why bone

Most marine collagen comes from skin. This comes from the bone.

Nearly all marine collagen on the market is made from fish skin, which is mostly Type I. We start from the skeleton, which also carries Type II, the collagen type found in cartilage.

Source: Aspevik et al., Journal of Aquatic Food Product Technology 33(8), 2024, a comparison of collagen in skin, bones and guts of salmon and cod.

We cite it for the composition of the raw material, not as a claim about this product.

Wild-caught, Nordic

From cold seas, not a farm.

Cod is a wild-caught fish and its bones are what is left when the fillets are cut. We turn that sidestream into a collagen ingredient instead of waste.
